ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Arthur Walkington Pink was an English Bible teacher and writer known for his uncompromising doctrinal writing on the sovereignty and holiness of God. After a period of itinerant ministry in the United States, Australia, and England, he settled in relative obscurity in Scotland for the last two decades of his life.

Pink wrote prolifically for his self-published magazine Studies in the Scriptures, largely unnoticed in his lifetime; his works gained wide readership only after his death, when Banner of Truth and other publishers reissued them for a new generation of Reformed readers.

  • Wrote and self-published the magazine Studies in the Scriptures for over 20 years
  • Author of The Sovereignty of God and The Attributes of God
  • Posthumously became one of the most widely read Reformed devotional writers
