Thomas Brooks

Thomas Brooks was an English Puritan preacher known for his vivid, image-rich style and his pastoral concern for ordinary believers facing spiritual struggle. He served as a chaplain in the parliamentary navy before becoming pastor of a congregation in London.

After being ejected from his pulpit under the Act of Uniformity in 1662, Brooks continued to minister and write, producing works marked by memorable illustrations and practical wisdom for the Christian life.
